Independence to Pendleton, Oregon

I took Tuesday afternoon off to get a head start on the trip, and we left my house around 1 p.m. Stopped at a viewpoint of I-205 west of Oregon City for a view of Mt. Hood (kind of lost in the haze) and Willamette Falls. Continued east on I-84 through the scenic Columbia River Gorge with a stop at Multnomah Falls and pictures of St. Peter's Landmark in The Dalles.

Hoover's ready to go for a long ride. High gas prices won't stop me or Cruella Hard to see through the haze, but that's Mt. Hood in the distance. Willamette Falls near Oregon City

Multnomah Falls, at 620 feet, is the second-highest year-round waterfall in the U.S. and the most popular natural tourist attraction in Oregon The Benson Bridge at Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is actually two waterfalls Multnomah Falls runs into this creek, which flows into the Columbia River Labs are notorious chewers; the only thing Hoover chews are leashes. I forgot to take it off when we stopped at the Mt. Hood viewpoint; by the time we reached Multnomah Falls 30 minutes later, he chewed through it. I tied together the remnants to use at the falls, then got him a new one in The Dalles.
