Owners.com First National Meet
Des Moines, Iowa — May 18-20, 2007
After Saturday's dinner at Latin Kings, you'd think we wouldn't need to eat again anytime soon. You'd think wrong.
We went to Sunday brunch at Granite City, and like every other place we ate, the food was fantastic, and there was a lot of it. As you may notice in the group picture, except for Chad and my Dad, we're all big guys.
After taking some pictures (and me taking Jesda's Q for a quick spin), Chad, Tanner, Jesda and Justin headed home, while Nick, Kurt, Brett and I met up with Tony (d-dash) at Waveland Golf Club in Des Moines. It's a really nice course, but very hilly, so you definitely need a cart. We got to play as a fivesome, and everybody had some good--and not-so-good--holes. Kurt kept score, and I didn't get everybody's score, but I know I had the highest for nine holes with a 62. Nick was next with a 59, and he says he and Tony did really well playing the back nine. I haven't played a real golf course in nearly six years, so I was happy with my results.
After golf, it was a quick two-hour drive back to my sister's house south of Omaha before hitting the road for home Monday morning.
