Today was a long haul with no real stops, but the good news is we'd be home at the end of the day. We reached Portland just in time for 5:00 traffic, but it wasn't too bad, and we still got home shortly before 7:00. I was actually surprised to see gas had dropped three cents at the Costco in Salem a week after we had filled up there at the start of the trip.

At least most of the states we drove through have a reasonable speed limit. Oregon's still stuck with 65 MPH. |
